Today found us stopping over at the American Electric Power's Public Recreation Lands east of Zanesville, OH. It is an area set aside for camping and fishing on land that was once mined and then replanted. Lots of hills and trees and lakes. Very pretty area and there are primitive camping sites dispersed around the area that are all free to the public.
We stayed in the Maple Grove campground in a grove of, you guessed it, maple trees along with pine trees. A nice campground with everything you need except electricity.
