Singin' in the Rain

We stayed over a second night at the Red Bridge campground in Pennsylvania and today was a day off from traveling. It rained off and on all day...a good excuse to curl up with a blanket and a book and while the day away! Instead we picked up some needed supplies and went hiking!

.

The trail was just beautiful in the rain. Nice and green, ferns everywhere under the trees and with the rain, we had it all to ourselves!

My hiking buddies...,Gene and Belle!

Really pretty creek that ran through the park.

Eastern Red-backed Salamander (Plethodon cinereus)

I found this little guy along the trail.  I would think he's going to get a little cold before long.

The floor of the forest was spattered with color from fallen leaves.

It was so wet and there were ferns everywhere.

We weren't the only ones getting wet.  The bridge was covered with spider webs and they seemed to be holding as much water as they could.
